It was a somewhat dismal and bleak day in the town of Anbury:
for one thing, it had been raining sleet since last afternoon, hurting and freezing
those who'd venture into the open without some sort of umbrella or wide-
brimmed hat.
Secondly, the town mayor, Lord Hanson the 16th, was assassinated.
